How long does the AI readiness assessment take?+

Do we need a data team to get value from this?+
No. The platform is built for businesses that do not yet have mature data leadership. Most of our users have a CTO or COO who owns data informally, or a small BI team. The output is written for executives, not analysts.
What does a fractional or virtual CDO actually do?+
A fractional Chief Data Officer gives you senior data leadership for a few days a month — assessing maturity, setting strategy, fixing governance, prioritising AI use cases, and supporting the exec team. It is the CDO function without the full-time cost.
What's the difference between the free check and the full review?+
The free check is a 30-second snapshot. The Full Review (limited beta) is a saved assessment with full pillar scores, a prioritised 90-day roadmap and a board-ready summary. The Virtual Data Office layers on AI agents and ongoing support.
Is this a replacement for legal, security or regulatory advice?+
No. Your Data Leader is a decision-support tool. It helps you assess maturity, find blockers, plan and prioritise. For regulated AI use cases or anything that affects customers, involve appropriate legal, compliance and security teams.
Do you need access to our raw business data?+
Not for the free assessment. The snapshot is generated from your answers. If future integrations are added, they will be explicit, permissioned and read-only by default.
How long does a typical 90-day roadmap take to deliver?+
Around 90 days, but the order and pace is shaped by your budget and capacity. The roadmap is designed to be realistic for a growing business — small, sequenced moves, not a 12-month transformation programme.
